Virtual Miradouros reveal Lisbon's charms 12.03.2010
Lisbon seen from a selection of panoramic city sites can now be enjoyed online, with a virtual miradouro system available on the Lisbon Tourism site.
This innovative project is a new tourism marketing tool that enable users online anywhere in the world to freely access Lisbon's most beautiful settings. Choosing views according to their interest, online users can enjoy the Portuguese capital's panoramic heritage from a several viewpoints including the Miradouros of Monte Agudo, Penha de França, Torel, Eduardo VII Park, Botto Machado Gardens, São Pedro de Alcântara, Graça, Nossa Senhora do Monte, Santa Luzia and St. George's Castle.
The digital platform sightseeing web also offers all the heritage and tourism information on these sites of Lisbon, with three dimensional visuals and maps with the tour visits.
As part of the project to promote Lisbon with new technology, the Lisbon Tourism site also features the Travel Planner system, a tool that allows users to plan their own tour during the visit to the Portuguese capital or help prepare the next visit to Lisbon.
